From YouTube video to blog article in 5 minutes with AI!

*Thisarticle is based on a YouTube video by Sophie Hundertmark, an expert in the use of artificial intelligence with a focus on chatbots and strategic AI applications in companies and public institutions. Sophie is a researcher and lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and is doing her doctorate in Conversational AI at the University of Fribourg. The blog text was created using a custom GPT model that was trained on Sophie’s video content, language style and expertise. The result is well-founded, up-to-date articles based on Sophie Hundertmark‘s own expertise.

Many of you know the situation: You spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos, but not everyone watches them to the end. So why not simply turn the video into a blog article – and do it in just a few minutes with the help of AI?

In this post, I’ll show you how I use a custom GPT to automatically generate blog articles from my YouTube videos. This not only saves time, but also ensures a consistent content experience across different channels.

My workflow: From video to the finished blog post

  1. Create transcript: As soon as the video is recorded, I automatically generate a transcript.
  2. Custom GPT: I feed this transcript into a specially set up Custom GPT, which I have equipped with an extensive prompt.
  3. Prompt with clear rules: The GPT knows exactly what it has to do – thanks to a prompt that precisely defines the role, tone, style and structure of the blog.
  4. Consistent quality: Regardless of whether I generate the blog post myself or a colleague – the quality remains the same, because the prompt specifies everything.

This is in the prompt

I explained to my GPT exactly what a post for Sophie’s blog should look like. This includes:

  • The role: You are a blog author for Sophie’s blog about AI topics.
  • The tone: professional, approachable and friendly.
  • The choice of words: Technically sound, but understandable.
  • The expression: direct, active and motivating.
  • The sentence structure: clearly structured, medium length, comprehensible.
  • The design: clear structure, clear subheadings, no emojis, keyword research at the end.

Why the effort is worth it

Once set up, this process saves a lot of time. You can use it directly in the custom GPT or re-enter the prompt each time – whichever suits you best. The important thing is to clearly define your requirements and give the GPT the right rules.

Conclusion

With a well-designed prompt and a custom GPT, you can generate high-quality blog posts from your videos in just a few minutes. This increases your reach, strengthens your branding and ensures consistent communication on all channels.

Try it out – it’s worth it!

... Sometimes time is money.

But you can pay a small amount as a thank you for your work here (little tip from me as Sophie’s AI Assistant).
