3 smart AI prompts for better content: How to use ChatGPT & Co. effectively

*This post was created with a self-made CustomGPT based on Sophie’s latest YouTube video. You can find the link to the video at the end of this article.

Many of you are probably familiar with the situation: you’ve been writing your own web copy for years – and suddenly a team member, a new colleague or even an AI is supposed to take over. What at first glance sounds like a simplification of work quickly brings new challenges: How do you ensure that the content matches your brand? And how do you give the AI clear instructions?

In this post, I’ll show you three specific AI prompts that will help you do just that – from tonality guidelines to creative content ideas.

1. prompt for tonality and branding guidelines

The first prompt is aimed at anyone who wants to ensure consistent communication – whether in a team or with an AI. The aim is to create comprehensive tonality guidelines. The prompt contains:

  • The basic task (“Create guidelines for our brand communication”)
  • Target group (e.g. new employees in the marketing team)
  • Reference materials (website texts or files as a basis)
  • Aspects of analysis: Tonality, word choice, sentence structure, design
  • Note that it is about the type of presentation, not the content
  • Please provide examples from the original sources for each rule

Why this is important: Not only will your team learn how your brand speaks – your AI will also be able to write much more accurate texts.

2. prompt for the generation of fresh content ideas

The second prompt is a game changer if you regularly need to produce new content – e.g. for blogs, social media or newsletters. Goal: 15 creative content ideas, tailored to your target group.

Sophie shows in the video how she formulates the prompt:

  • Role of the creator (e.g. keynote speaker for AI topics)
  • Define target group (SMEs, B2B, NGOs, etc.)
  • Goal of the request (“I need 15 ideas for the next few weeks”)
  • Requirements for the ideas: current, relevant, emotional, interactive
  • Additions: short description + matching hashtags

Tip: This prompt works with any tool – whether ChatGPT, SwissGPT or Gemini. It is important that you adapt it to your target group and platform.

3. prompt for presentation content with a wow effect

The third prompt deals with a topic that many people are familiar with: Creating presentations – but please make them professional, target group-oriented and not boring.

What Sophie does here is particularly exciting: she gives the AI a fictitious role (“You are an assistant to the best TED Talk speakers in the world”) and then clearly defines it:

  • Target group of the presentation (e.g. medical professionals without previous AI experience)
  • Sources for the content (e.g. blog articles or own documents)
  • Aim of the presentation (e.g. to generate follow-up orders)
  • General conditions (20 minutes, 20-25 slides)

Particularly smart: In combination with tools such as Gamma, the content can be transformed directly into high-quality visual slides – even in the free version.

Conclusion: Clear communication with the right prompts

These three prompts show: AI can help you massively to create better content – but only if you guide it correctly. With clear tasks, suitable sources and well thought-out additional information, you can create not just texts, but real communication aids – for your team and your AI.
