My AI assistant has also created a podcast episode for the following article. If you prefer listening to reading, you can listen to the podcast via the following link (ATTENTION: Podcast is created exclusively by AI, no guarantee for accuracy).
More and more often I am asked how I keep my knowledge of topics such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, ChatGPT and related technologies up to date. I also frequently receive requests for recommendations for further sources of information and resources in this area.
In this article, I would like to present a selection of interesting resources and sources that I think are worth a closer look. My advice is to first get an overview of the resources and media formats listed and then save two or three links or sources that can be used on an ongoing basis for personal and individual further training.
To repeat
What is Generative AI?
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that aims to create something new, such as texts, images, music or videos. Unlike other types of AI, which are designed to analyze existing information or perform specific tasks, generative AI attempts to create something new based on what it has learned from a large amount of data. It uses patterns and structures in the data to generate new content that is similar to what it has seen before. It is, so to speak, a creative machine that is able to think and create in a way that was previously only possible for humans. Generative AI is used in many areas, from art and entertainment to research and development.
What are the best AI resources and information sources?
The daily newsletter from The Rundown AI
Although I personally do not read newsletters, as I am often overwhelmed by the flood of information and choose my sources of information selectively, the English-language newsletter “The Rundown AI” is an exception. I receive it daily in my e-mail inbox and give it my attention on Thursday or Friday at the latest by reading all the issues of the week. If you don’t want to subscribe to the newsletter, you can visit The Rundown AI website on weekdays and explore the latest news about artificial intelligence on your own. Each newsletter starts with one or two news items from the world of AI, followed by tool recommendations or tips for ChatGPT prompts. At the end of the newsletter you will find links and brief explanations of four to six other AI tools. The conciseness of the newsletter and the tool suggestions are particularly appealing. Note: This source is available in English.

Sophie’s Next AI Talk – Best practices, AI trends and innovations
Since 2020, I have been publishing a podcast episode on the topic of artificial intelligence every two weeks. I strive to make the episodes practical and have relaxed conversations with practitioners in the field of artificial intelligence. Many episodes cover specific applications of chatbots or AI in business, and occasionally I also interview researchers or other AI users who share their experiences and tips. Each episode is in German and lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.

Podcast: News from Sophie’s AI-Assistant
Another podcast, “News from Sophie’s AI Assistant – Your update on AI, chatbots and generative AI”, appears more frequently, but the episodes are shorter. This podcast, as the name suggests, is created completely autonomously by my AI assistant, using the AI tool Wondercraft and 2-3 prompts I created as well as my latest blog posts as a template. The resulting podcast has a relaxed tone and the content is similar to that of my website. The listeners or readers can decide for themselves how they want to consume the content.

My own AI and chatbot blog
My blog is the most comprehensive and up-to-date source I offer. I regularly publish new articles on the topics of generative AI, artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, chatbots and related topics. The content includes not only the latest news, but also tips on safe use, reports on new AI tools, prompt tips and specific use cases in various industries.
Like all my content sources, this blog is also in German. There is no way to subscribe to the blog directly, but you can join my WhatsApp group, where I post regularly as soon as a new post is online.
The website of KI-Revolution
The “AI Revolution” page of the Institute for Marketing Innovation is mainly managed by Prof. Dr. Claudia Bünte. This page focuses mainly on the use of AI or generative AI in marketing. Claudia Bünte is an expert in the field of marketing and shares her extensive knowledge, best practices and very specific tips on the use of AI in marketing on this page.

The blog of the AI studio
I recently discovered the AI Studio blog and find it particularly interesting for beginners. The content is primarily aimed at readers who are not yet experts in the field of AI and would like to learn more about how they can use ChatGPT or generative AI in a meaningful way. The blog is in German and new posts appear rather irregularly so far.

Reference book: Generative AI for companies
My reference book “Generative AI for Business” is not intended to be read regularly, but serves as a solid basis for anyone who wants to get a basic orientation in the field of AI. The book is written in a very practice-oriented way and contains numerous application examples. It deals less with the technical aspects and more with topics relating to corporate culture, change management and leadership.
WhatsApp group: Updates from Sophie
The WhatsApp group “Updates from Sophie” now has over 600 members. I am the only one who is authorized to post here regularly. The content of the posts is very diverse and ranges from announcements of new podcasts or blog posts to references to worthwhile AI resources.

Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch on LinkedIn
I had my first podcast recording with Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch on the topic of generative AI in 2023. Since then, I have been following him on LinkedIn, where his shared presentations and application examples are particularly insightful. Peter Gentsch also runs a website and an AI platform. My experience shows that I miss the least when I follow him on LinkedIn. Click here to follow Peter Gentsch on Linkedin.
Prefer to ask questions individually?
Of course you can also ask me your questions directly and don’t need to read through all the content sources. If you have any specific questions, I’m always happy to hear from you. Preferably by WhatsApp message or e-mail.
