Why your own T-shirts?

Even as a child, I was proud to see our name – Hundertmark – on dishes, pens or notepads. I was lucky that my grandparents had a host town in the village and so there were always things with our name on them.

When I founded my own company – Hundertmark GmbH – I also started printing my name on promotional gifts such as cloth bags, pocket knives, postcards, stickers, pens and much more.

And I started to have softshell jackets, fleece jackets, rain jackets and vests printed with my name.

But initially only for my own use – when I’m on stage for a keynote.

During a city trip to Italy with a friend, I had the idea of making my own T-shirts. They are “Sophie’s own T-shirts” because they not only bear my name, but also because I came up with the cut and design myself and put them into production.

What is so special about Sophie’s T-shirts?

I am particularly proud of the sleeves, the collar and the bottom of the shirts.

• The sleeves are slightly longer than normal T-shirts. However, they still fit perfectly under a blazer.
• The collar has a slight U-shape.
• Overall, the T-shirt is slightly oversized and the body ends with a slight curve.

Where are Sophie’s T-shirts produced?

My T-shirt production is a real gift. For my first jacket order, I first looked for a trustworthy retailer via Alibaba. I quickly realized that the platform is rather anonymous. Only the communication with Usman Shafi was extremely cordial, understanding and familiar. After a brief hesitation, I transferred a 3-digit sum of money to him and ordered my first jackets from him via WhatsApp.

And I was not disappointed, when Usman says he sends express, he really sends with UPS in 2.5 weeks and that in best quality and with many small details (inside pockets, zippers on the pockets, color-coordinated applications, etc.).

Usman lives in Pakistan and has set up his own production facility there. For the production of Sophie’s own T-shirts, he combined the added value of three different T-shirt designs for me and developed, produced and sent me Sophie’s T-shirt in many colors.

How can Sophie’s T-shirts be ordered?

When I told my mother about Sophie’s T-shirts, her first “question” was whether her daughter was now getting into e-commerce alongside keynotes, consulting, research and various advisory board activities…

I wouldn’t call it an e-commerce business yet, but you are welcome to order a T-shirt from me. I have different colors and sizes. And for individual productions, such as jackets, pullovers or pants, I am happy to pass them on to my trusted producer.

How much does Sophie’s shirt cost?

Prices vary depending on quantity, color and printing. I will send you the first T-shirt for CHF 45 plus postage.

Keynote or consulting instead of a T-shirt?
