Get maximum reach out of every YouTube video – with AI and the right strategy!
YouTube is the platform for building reach with videos, showcasing expertise and attracting customers. But a video alone is not enough to exploit the full potential. Many companies and self-employed people invest a lot of time in creating videos without taking advantage of the enormous leverage that results. This is where artificial intelligence (AI) comes into play – and this is exactly where Yannik Matzner and I come in. Together we can help you get the most out of every single YouTube video. Yannik is the long-standing YouTube expert and I’m more of an AI expert who knows the right AI tools, but can also assess when the use of Yannik vs AI is necessary.
From the video idea to the perfect content mix
The biggest challenge for many companies and marketers is often the generation of ideas: Which topics are well received? How do you find new content ideas without constantly repeating yourself? The answer: with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, SwissGPT and Co.
Thanks to smart AI tools, you can:
- Generate new video ideas – Never sit helplessly in front of an empty idea board again. Simple prompts in ChatGPT or other tools immediately provide a variety of relevant topics. Example prompt: “Give me 25 creative YouTube video ideas for my topic [Themenbereich]. Which of these ideas have the greatest potential?”
- Identify relevant content – Which topics have the highest potential on YouTube? With data-based analyses, you can target those topics that offer your target group the greatest added value. Example prompt: “Analyze this list of YouTube ideas: [Liste einfügen]. Which of these topics have the greatest potential for reach and engagement?”
- Create effective thumbnails – AI can help develop compelling thumbnail concepts, but the final design should ideally be optimized by a designer for maximum impact. Example prompt: “Create 5 creative thumbnail ideas for my YouTube video with the title ‘[Titel des Videos]’. Consider emotional stimuli, strong contrasts and a clear message.”
AI turns a video into an entire content universe
A single video is more than just a video – it is the basis for many other formats! Many companies waste valuable potential by simply uploading a video without further utilizing it for other channels. AI can make this process much easier and even automate it. Here are a few examples:
- Blog posts – A detailed blog article that reflects your video in written form while providing SEO benefits. Example prompt: “Create a structured blog post from the following YouTube transcript with a clear introduction, main body and conclusion. Optimize the text for SEO with relevant keywords.”
- Social media posts – Short, concise posts for LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook that present the core message of your video in a crisp form. Example prompt: “Create three different social media posts from this YouTube video. Formulate them for LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter with suitable call-to-actions.”
- Short videos for Reels, Shorts and TikTok – AI can automatically cut out the most exciting sequences from your video and adapt them for the respective platforms. Example prompt: “Extract the three most exciting 15-second sequences from this video and optimize them for Reels and TikTok. Make sure you have a rousing introduction and a clear conclusion.”
- Translations for international target groups – Your content can be easily prepared for new markets with AI-supported translations, making you visible worldwide. Example prompt: “Translate this blog article into English, French and Spanish. Adapt the wording to the respective cultural circumstances.”
With the right strategy, you can turn a single YouTube video into an entire content machine – without any additional manual effort.
I, for example, have developed a CustomGPT that automatically creates a blog post from every video. Here is an example of the blog and video on learning languages with AI.
Beware of too much AI – quality and transparency are crucial
As many advantages as AI offers, it should always be used with caution. Content generated entirely by AI should be labeled accordingly to ensure transparency towards the target group. Inaccuracies or misunderstandings can occur, especially with translations or automatically created blog posts.
Below is a video that has been translated into Italian. The use of AI is communicated transparently from the outset.
Therefore, AI is a tool, but not a perfect solution. Any content created by AI must be checked, optimized and, if necessary, adapted to ensure that it is correct, understandable and of high quality. Anyone working with AI is responsible for the final quality of their content.
