Generative AI Podcasts

Generative AI Podcasts

Every 2 weeks I publish a new episode of my chatbot and AI podcast. In recent months, the focus has increasingly been on ChatGPT or generative in general. The highlights of the last episodes and the most important episodes relating to Generative AI and ChatGPT are summarized in this article.

What is Generative AI?

Let’s start with a brief recap: What is Generative AI?

I asked ChatGPT about this and asked the chatbot to give me a description of “Generative AI” aimed at an 11-year-old child. I received the following result:

Imagine you have a magic coloring box. Every time you tell the box what you want to draw, it conjures up a picture of it. You could say: “I want a unicorn sliding on a rainbow!” and the box would draw exactly that for you. But this box doesn’t just have pictures of unicorns and rainbows to show you. No, she invents a new image every time that fits your description exactly.

This magic paint box is like a generative AI. “Generative” means “to create” or “to invent”. Generative AI can therefore invent things that did not exist before, based on what it has already learned. This can be pictures, music, stories or even poems. The great thing about it is that she can always create something new and unique!

Podcast on the launch of ChatGPT

Shortly after the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022, I had one of the first podcast recordings on ChatGPT and Generative AI with Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch. In this episode, Peter explains in a very simplified way how ChatGPT actually works and what is special about the new chatbot from OpenAI. You will also learn about the features of Transformer models in this episode.

Podcast on ChatGPT Prompts

When we give ChatGPT a command, we call it a prompt. The more precise and specific we make the prompt, the better and more precise the result we get from ChatGPT. Roman Zoun explains in the podcast recording what really matters when it comes to prompting. The most important prompt guidelines can also be found in my blog posts.

Podcast on Generative AI and ChatGPT in marketing

Agencies also use ChatGPT and other generative AI tools for their clients’ marketing. In this episode, Kim Engels from the Converto agency explains how they used ChatGPT and other Generative AI solutions for their clients very early on.

Podcast on Generative AI and data protection

When we talk about ChatGPT and Generative AI, many questions about data protection and copyright come up very quickly. I had a very informative conversation about this with the lawyer Cornelia Stengel.

Podcast on ChatGPT and alternatives

Dr. Steffen Schmidt not only uses ChatGPT, but is also very familiar with the alternatives. In the recording, he explains how he combines a wide variety of AI tools. He also addresses the role of humans, who should intelligently connect the various AI tools with each other.

Podcast on Large Language Models and Open Source

In addition to GPT-3.5, GPT-4 and others, there are also more and more large language models available as open source. Christoph Bräunlich explains why he sees the future of LLMs in the open source sector and where the advantages and disadvantages lie.

Podcast on the launch of ChatGPT

Generative AI has arrived surprisingly quickly in the regulated financial sector. At the Institute of Financial Services Zug (IFZ), we launched the first Conversational and Generative AI in Finance study in October 2023. I discuss the highlights of this study in the podcast episode with Mark Bosshard and Stephan Fehlmann.
