A practical guide for decision-makers, managers and teams who want to anchor AI sustainably in their company.
Generative AI is no longer a trend – it is changing how companies communicate, work and make decisions. However, its success depends on how well it is integrated into existing processes.
In this book, I work with Dr. Daniela Suter to show how companies can use generative AI safely, efficiently and responsibly. We share practical examples, tried-and-tested strategies and concrete recommendations for action so that you don’t just test AI, but use it sustainably.
More and more companies are experimenting with ChatGPT, SwissGPT & Co – but often lack a clear strategy.
The questions we encounter most frequently in consultations and workshops are:
Where do we start?
Which processes are suitable?
How do we deal with data protection, responsibility and employees?
This book offers answers – practical, practicable and without technical hurdles. It is aimed at anyone who wants to understand, control and use generative AI responsibly.
This book is ideal for:
In this book you will learn, among other things:
AI can increase productivity and enable new business models – but only if it is introduced responsibly.
We will show you how you can ensure that AI is accepted and used sensibly in the company with clear processes, comprehensible guidelines and open communication.
I am a researcher and lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and am doing my doctorate in Conversational AI at the University of Fribourg. I have been supporting companies with the introduction of AI systems for years – with a focus on strategies, ethics and acceptance in everyday life. In this book I share my experiences from research, consulting and projects.
Dr. Daniela Suter is an entrepreneur, researcher and COO of AlpineAI – the company behind SwissGPT. She has many years of experience in the use of AI technologies in the healthcare, science and technology sectors. Its strength lies in strategically anchoring complex technologies in companies – securely, transparently and with a focus on people.
“Responsibly deployed AI is not a risk, but an opportunity for sustainable innovation.”
– Sophie Hundertmark
“The future belongs to those companies that understand AI – and consciously shape its potential.”
– Dr. Daniela Suter

Artificial intelligence explained simply – for parents, children & families
A playful introduction to the world of artificial intelligence – for parents, children and anyone who wants to use AI safely and creatively in everyday life.
ChatGPT and other AI tools have long since become part of our everyday lives – but how can families use these technologies sensibly without being overwhelmed?
This book helps parents to discover the world of artificial intelligence together with their children.
In clear language, it explains what AI is, shows practical applications in everyday family life and provides over 50 prompts that can be tried out immediately.
Whether it’s homework help, creative stories or playful experiments – the Hey AI! What are you doing there? makes AI understandable, safe and a real experience for the whole family.
When I started to work more intensively with artificial intelligence, I quickly realized that many families are curious, but at the same time unsure. Parents ask themselves: How do I explain to my children what AI is? And how can I use them sensibly and safely? In my workshops with children and young people, I have experienced how much curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm is generated when AI is taught in an understandable and practical way.
Together with Meike Tarabori, I wanted to write a book that starts right here. We wanted to show that AI is not just a technical topic, but also something that families can discover together – playfully, creatively and responsibly. Our aim was to create a resource that combines learning and fun and gives parents and children the opportunity to try out and understand AI in everyday life.
This book is ideal for:
In this book you will learn, among other things:
Artificial intelligence is changing our world at a rapid pace. For our children’s generation, AI will be a natural part of school, education and work.
This makes it all the more important that they learn early on not only to use these technologies, but also to understand and critically classify them.
Responsible use of AI protects against risks and at the same time opens up enormous opportunities – from creative projects and learning support to future career opportunities.
This book aims to support families in introducing children to these future skills in a gentle, safe and enjoyable way.
I am a researcher and lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and am doing my doctorate in Conversational AI at the University of Fribourg.
For years, I have been working on the use of artificial intelligence – especially chatbots and strategic AI solutions for companies and public institutions.
As an AI consultant, researcher and speaker, I support companies and institutions in the use of AI systems and conduct research at the interface between technology, ethics and society.
With this book, I bring my specialist knowledge into an everyday framework for families.
“I want to encourage families to try out AI, ask questions and have their own experiences – that’s how we all learn the most.” – Sophie Hundertmark

Her experience enables her to present complex content relating to digitalization and AI in a way that makes it easy to apply in everyday life.
“It’s important to me that children and parents don’t see AI as something threatening, but as a tool that can be used creatively and responsibly.” – Meike Tarabori

Yes, you can choose whether you want a hardcover edition or an e-book when you buy.
The book Generative AI for Companies is a specialist book that is written primarily from the perspective of a business economist. It mainly deals with economic and interpersonal aspects of the use of Generative AI. Nevertheless, the textbook on Generative AI in the company also includes a chapter on the technical functioning of artificial intelligence, large language models and generative AI. This basic knowledge is important in order to be able to properly assess the extent of the new technological developments.
To make the reader even more excited about the use of Generative AI, a large number of Generative AI tools are presented at the end of the 200-page reference book and their possible applications are described. Readers also receive information on the pricing and subscription model of the individual tools.
We worked together with a lawyer to answer (data protection) legal questions. Martin Steiger not only answered important questions, but also wrote a guest article in which he clearly explains both the background to data protection and the current developments regarding the EU AI Act.
Practical examples from companies that have already successfully introduced Generative AI are an important part of the book. Companies report on their experiences in a wide variety of generative AI projects.
The practical examples are supplemented by templates and guidelines, which readers can download free of charge from the Internet (link and password in the appendix of the book).
The book comprises around 300 pages including illustrations. Depending on your reading speed, the book can easily be read over a long weekend. The book is available as a paperback as well as an e-book and can be read regardless of device or location.
The book is aimed at managers, decision-makers, project managers and anyone else who would like a general overview of the topic of generative AI. Readers of the book will get a comprehensive and broad overview of the opportunities and challenges of Generative AI.
