Why can it make sense to take part in a chatbot online workshop (webinar)?

And what can you learn there?

 

Walter Bucher was a participant in my Chatbot Online Workshop in April and subsequently integrated his own chatbot on his website. You can find out how this came about and what he learned from my webinar in the following interview.

 

Walter, you recently asked me for a chatbot. How did you come up with that?

Sonja Keller, a colleague, shared a reference to your webinar on Facebook.

 

What exactly got you so excited about the idea of “a chatbot on your own website”?

I think it’s good if you can draw the visitor’s attention to specific content and lead them to the relevant page.

 

What exactly can a chatbot do and what does it do?

A month ago, we implemented an idea to reward people who recommend us with a bonus. You can register and then become a dieXperten Agent (incl. Member Card).

The bot now addresses visitors directly to this offer on the website and takes them directly to the page with the information and the registration form.

 

What is the goal you want to achieve with your chatbot?

In this case: more referrals, resulting in new customers and more sales.

But of course we also want to use other possibilities with the chatbot: Competitions, surveys….

 

And how did you go about implementing it?

You have the chatbot on the website and on Facebook. Do you have different experiences? Do you just have the same chatbot twice?

As this is my first chatbot, I used the same chatbot to make comparisons and simply made minor adjustments to the content. For example, it makes no sense to write on the website: “Visit our website”.

 

Would you like to develop more chatbots in the future?

In any case, also for our customers.

 

If anyone reading this interview is now interested in a chatbot. What is your recommendation for him?

Just do it. With the free demo phase of the tool, you are not taking any risks at all. Gather experience and then optimize.
