Create a B2B marketing concept with ChatGPT and AI

ChatGPT supports brainstorming“, “ChatGPT creates our concepts“, “ChatGPT plans marketing strategies” – we hear these and similar quotes again and again. But is it really that easy to create an entire concept with ChatGPT?

In this article, I will show you step by step how I created the new sales concept for Powch.ch ‘s B2B strategy using ChatGPT.

What is Powch.ch

Powch is a fashion label from Zurich, with whom I launched the “24/8 Bag” at the end of 2024. While the design and production of the bag were created completely without artificial intelligence and ChatGPT, I use all AI applications such as ChatGPT, Peak Privacy and SwissGPT from AlpineAI for further marketing.

WHERE AI MEETS TIMELESS DESIGN
What happens when innovative technology is combined with sustainable craftsmanship?
The 24/8 BAG is the answer.

Born from the unexpected encounter between AI expert Sophie Hundertmark and Powch designer Fabio Kunz, this unique piece combines functionality, elegance, and eco-conscious materials.
Crafted from leftover PVC foil combined with other high-quality materials, the bag is a symbol of style beyond the algorithm. It is the result of human design-intelligence and analog manufacturing.

Before I start using ChatGPT to create the concept for the new B2B strategy, I have to define the initial situation for the AI application, in this case I am using ChatGPT. The AI needs to know which brand is involved and what the special features of the brand or bag are. Instead of calling ChatGPT a so-called start prompt or exit prompt every time, I created a CustomGPT to which I added all the information about the values of the Powch brand and the special features of the 24/8 bag. This prevents me from having to give the same basic information every time. I start the concept creation by calling up the pre-configured 24/8 Marketing Assistant from my collection of CustomGPTs. You can find out more about the CustomGPT from Powch.ch in my article on “Beyond the Algorithm“. You can read all further information on CustomGPTs in my article on creating CustomGPTs.

As soon as I have called up the CustomGPT of the 24/8 bag, I explain to it which task I want it to help me with today. I describe my goal as precisely as possible and try to include measurable figures such as “3 partnerships by the end of the year”.

Note: The more precisely I specify ChatGPT’s task, the more useful the response will be. You can read more about the capabilities of the Prompt and what you should bear in mind when using AI applications such as ChatGPT in my Prompt guide.

I have used the following prompt for this use case:

The result:

ChatGPT gives me a relatively detailed answer with 6 steps divided into different subtasks (see pictures).

The first answer contains many important concept ideas for Powch‘s new B2B concept. So far, however, it is only a rough concept, without concrete consideration of Powch. Strictly speaking, this was also the intention of my first prompt (see above).

In the next step, I use ChatGPT to apply the contents of the rough concept to the Powch.ch brand. As I continue to work with CustomGPT, which I configured myself, I can assume that ChatGPT will take the brand values and product information relating to Powch.ch and the products, such as the 24/8 bag, into account when creating the exact concept.

I am now giving ChatGPT and the CustomGPT further prompts and working through the rough concept step by step. I have used the following prompts:

3a. Partial prompt #1:

3b. Critical questioning of the answer and addition to partial answer #1.

In general, I am very satisfied with ChatGPT’s response. From my own experience, however, I suspect that there are other target groups.

Note: Despite CustomGPTs, it is important to critically scrutinize the results and challenge ChatGPT again.

Next prompt:

3c. Partial prompt #2:

As soon as ChatGPT has revised its first answer, I go to the next step of the rough concept and ask the artificial intelligence for a very precise definition of the target group.

Next prompt:

3d. Partial prompt #3:

Now we move on to the next step of the rough concept. This is about prices. That’s why I’ll give ChatGPT a few more indications of the price here. These are not yet included in the CustomGPT knowledge database.

Next prompt:

3e. Partial prompt #4:

I ask ChatGPT to explain the next step of the rough concept in more detail. To make sure that the scope of the answer meets my expectations, I also give a number of answers that I would like to receive.

Next prompt:

3f. Partial prompt #5:

I am now asking about the next step in the rough concept. To make sure that I can use the answer directly later, I ask ChatGPT for justifications and examples.

Next prompt:

3g. Partial prompt #6:

I go one step further and question the next step from the initial concept of ChatGPT.

Next prompt:

3h. Partial prompt #7:

In the previous prompts, I usually did not give ChatGPT precise instructions on the scope of the response. But now it’s all about the website. Here I know that the website is being implemented by a non-professional in the field of SEO. I therefore advise ChatGPT to be particularly precise at this point and to provide as much information as possible.

Next prompt:

After working through the rough concept of ChatGPT and my CustomGPT with the knowledge of the values and product information of Powch.ch and the 24/8 Bag step by step, critically questioning and adapting the results in each case, I am very satisfied with the B2B sales concept for the Powch brand and the 24/8 Bag.

However, I have also learned that it is not enough to simply ask ChatGPT for a concept, I have to add further partial prompts and give hints on how:

  • explain your result in detail
  • write the result for a layman
  • give at least 5 examples
  • and other specifications of the answer.

You can request the full result from me by e-mail.

Or here is a small preview.

Regardless of whether you use the classic ChatGPT or a CustomGPT from OpenAI, the fact that all information from the chat history goes to OpenAI remains the same. So if you are developing concepts that are perhaps still confidential or you want to enter other confidential or personal data in the chat history, then you should use other AI applications. Solutions such as SwissGPT or Peak Privacy offer comprehensive data protection and guarantee that the data is not disclosed to third parties, but can only be used and viewed by you or your team.

However, I have not used any personal data in this case and since I share the concept or parts of the concept with my blog readers here anyway, I have no concerns about OpenAI being able to read the chat entries.

Of course you can also ask me your questions directly and I will be happy to help you create your CustomGPT, find the right prompts or answer any other questions you may have.

I am always happy to receive your messages, preferably by WhatsApp message or e-mail.
