What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is an advanced language model developed by OpenAI. It is based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture and is trained to generate human-like texts. ChatGPT can respond to a variety of requests, from answering questions to writing creative texts. It learns from an extensive database of texts to understand patterns and context.
What is SwissGPT?
SwissGPT is the Swiss answer to the American ChatGPT, so to speak. SwissGPT is offered by the Swiss start-up AlpineAI. In contrast to ChatGPT, SwissGPT is data protection compliant and does not store any trustworthy or sensitive user data. The SwissGPT Shield works seamlessly by intelligently anonymizing sensitive data while retaining valuable context. This ensures that you receive insightful responses from public large language models (LLMs) without jeopardizing the confidentiality of private information. In addition, privacy is enhanced by masking IP addresses, providing users with a secure and untraceable experience.

Conclusion: Blog post with ChatGPT and SwissGPT
Both tools – ChatGPT and SwissGPT – provided interesting ideas for the given target group and generated an entire blog post with the help of six consecutive prompts.
My experience has shown that such a granular approach or granular prompting performs far better than an all-in-one prompt. It is also interesting to compare the different results of the tools used. At first glance, both solutions seem to lead to good results. At second glance, it is noticeable that ChatGPT provides somewhat more comprehensive answers in some cases. In contrast, SwissGPT users do not have to worry about their data and can even enter confidential data in the input window without this data being disclosed to third parties.
