Ask Sophie

Your AI Consultation: Ask as many questions as you want and get a clear answer within one to two business days.

Artificial intelligence is changing faster than you can set up projects. Most questions in everyday life are small: Is this tool worth it? What does the update mean? Are we even allowed to do that? A consulting engagement is too cumbersome and a search engine too imprecise for precisely these kinds of questions.

The AI consultation service fills this gap. You ask whenever something comes up. I’ll provide a reliable, clear answer along with a recommendation you can use to move forward.

Have you ever experienced this?

You’re probably familiar with at least one of these situations:

None of these questions on its own justifies a consulting project. Together, they cost you time, patience, and sometimes even money every week, because without a response, either nothing happens at all or the wrong thing happens.

A One-Stop Resource for All AI Questions

The AI Consultation is a monthly subscription. You pay a fixed amount, and in return, you can ask as many questions as you want. No quota, no hourly billing, no debate over whether a question already counts as a consultation.

The idea behind it is simple: Most AI decisions fail not because of a lack of technology, but because there’s no one around to ask a quick question. The big questions become a project. The small ones are left behind—and those are the ones that really add up.

I’m the person you’re looking for. You write, I reply. And once a month, we discuss the things that are hard to clarify in writing.

Here's how it works:

STEP 1: You ask

By email or WhatsApp—as detailed or as brief as you’d like. A screenshot, a link, three keywords—that’s all it takes. You don’t have to organize your question beforehand.

STEP 2: I reply

Within two business days; within one business day with the Plus package. In writing, if it can be written well. A short video, for when I need to show you something. Always with a specific recommendation, not just a general assessment.

STEP 3: We talk once a month

Sixty or ninety minutes, depending on the package. For anything that’s hard to clarify in writing: prioritization, strategy, uncomfortable questions, or an issue that’s just become confusing. You can schedule the appointment whenever it’s convenient for you.

STEP 4: When something gets bigger

If a request will take more than about thirty minutes to complete, I’ll get back to you with a quote before I start. You can then take your time to decide whether we’ll do that separately. There are never any additional charges without prior notice.

Here are some questions you can ask:

The consultation hours are intentionally broad. This includes everything related to artificial intelligence in your day-to-day work. Here are a few real-world examples:

TOPIC BLOCK 1

AI Tools: Selection and Evaluation

  • “We’re comparing three tools for taking meeting minutes.” “Which one is right for us?”
  • “One provider is charging 40,000 francs for an AI solution. “Is that realistic?”
  • “Is it worth it for us to get our own solution, or is a standard subscription enough?”

TOPIC BLOCK 2

Updates and Developments

  • “There’s a new model. “Do we need to change anything now?”
  • “Which of the topics currently being discussed everywhere are truly relevant to us?”
  • “This feature wasn’t available last month. “What does this mean for our process?”

TOPIC BLOCK 3

Use Cases and Feasibility

  • “We want our quotes to be generated automatically. “Is that possible?”
  • “Our customer service team gets the same twenty questions every day. “Where do we start?”
  • “This idea came from the team. “Is it realistic, or are we just wasting our time on it?”

TOPIC BLOCK 4

AI Visibility: How You Appear in ChatGPT and Similar Platforms

  • “Why does ChatGPT recommend our competitor and not us?”
  • “What changes do we need to make to our website so that language models can understand us correctly?”
  • “Our management wants to know how visible we are. “Where do we start?”

TOPIC BLOCK 5

Governance, Data Protection, and Accountability

  • “Can we enter this data into this tool?”
  • “We need an internal AI policy. “What’s the minimum it needs to include?”
  • “How do we handle the fact that employees use AI for personal purposes and copy company data into it?”

TOPIC BLOCK 6

Working Methods, Prompting, and Team

  • “Why are we getting such poor results, even though the tool is supposed to be good?”
  • “How do we get the team to really use AI?”
  • “Can you take a look at this prompt and tell me what’s wrong with it?”

And if your question doesn’t fit into any of these categories, ask it anyway. There has never been a time when a question was too trivial or too far-fetched.

Here's what you'll get out of it:

None of these questions on its own justifies a consulting project. Together, they cost you time, patience, and sometimes even money every week, because without a response, either nothing happens at all or the wrong thing happens.

Does this sound like you?

The AI consultation is a good fit if:

The AI consultation isn’t a good fit if:

If you’re not sure whether you belong on the first or second list, just ask me. I’ll be honest with you—if something else works better.

Four packages, one principle:

All packages include unlimited inquiries and one call per month. The difference lies in how many people are allowed to ask questions and how much total conversation time you get.

Not sure which package is right for you? Start with the smaller one. You can upgrade at any time to the following month.

What's not included:

Just so it’s clear from the start what you’ll get and what you won’t: This includes a response, an assessment, and a recommendation. Implementation work is not included.

If a request will take more than about thirty minutes to complete, I’ll get back to you with a quote before I start. You can then decide whether we’ll do that separately. There are never any unexpected additional costs—and I’ll let you know if I think it’s not worth the effort.

Who will reply to you

My name is Sophie Hundertmark. I conduct research and teach at the Institute for Financial Services in Zug at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and I also advise companies on artificial intelligence. I completed my doctoral dissertation in 2026 at the University of Freiburg.

For over ten years, I have been working on conversational AI, generative AI, and the question of how companies can use this technology responsibly. I’ve worked with banks, insurance companies, hospitals, government agencies, and many small businesses—and in doing so, I’ve learned that the best solutions are rarely the most technically sophisticated ones.

I host the podcast “Sophie’s Next AI Talk” and co-authored the book “Hey AI, What Are You Up To?” with Meike Tarabori—a practical guide for parents and children. When I’m not working, I’m out cycling in Ticino.

Frequently asked questions

Really, an unlimited number of questions?

Yes. No quota, no hourly billing. Based on experience, we receive three to eight questions per month. If you have more, you can ask for more—that’s exactly the point. The only criterion I use to set a limit is the scope of each individual request, not the number of requests.

Then I’ll get back to you with a brief quote before I get started. It’s up to you to decide whether we’ll handle this as a separate project or not. I never start calculating anything without being asked.

By email or WhatsApp. As detailed or as brief as you’d like. A screenshot with two lines of context is more than enough. You don’t have to formulate your question clearly beforehand—that’s my job.

In writing via email, or as a short screen recording if I need to show you something. When it comes to questions about tools, a video is usually easier to understand than three paragraphs of text.

With the Basic Package, delivery takes two business days; with the Plus Package, it takes one. In practice, it often goes faster, but that’s the commitment you can count on.

I’ll let you know in advance if I’ll be away for an extended period. If you’re away for more than two weeks, the term of your subscription will be extended accordingly. You don’t pay for the time when I’m unavailable.

It can be carried over to the following month once. After that, it expires. With the Plus package, you can also split the call, for example, into two 45-minute sessions.

You can upgrade at any time to the following month, even from a single account to a team account. Downgrading takes effect at the end of the minimum term. If you’re unsure, start small.

Up to five individuals named by name. Please write to me directly, without going through an internal contact point. You can change the names at any time if your team changes.

All of your team’s questions and answers will be continuously documented and made available to you. After a few months, you’ll have an internal knowledge base that new employees can consult instead of asking the same question again.

No, this is a standalone offer for CHF 1,500 per quarter. Of course, answering and addressing questions about AI visibility is part of the consultation.

No. I am providing a professional assessment—including on data protection and governance—but not legally binding information. Whenever a legal review is necessary, I’ll let you know clearly.

No. I don’t sell software, and I have no interest in you adopting a specific product. If I have a stake in a provider or work with them, I make that clear before recommending them.

All content is confidential. I’d be happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement if you have one. I do not use information from client cases in presentations or publications unless you expressly give me permission to do so.

Because the promise to “ask as many questions as you want” is only worth something as long as I can keep it. Six cases is the number at which I can reliably guarantee response times. If all the spots are taken, I’ll put you on a waiting list.

Minimum term of six months; thereafter, the contract may be terminated on a monthly basis effective at the end of the month. No automatic annual subscription, no renewal trap, no three-month notice period.

Then the call will continue, and I’ll check in with whatever’s relevant at the moment. If this continues for several months, I’ll be honest with you, and we’ll talk about taking a break or terminating the contract. I don’t want to sell a subscription that nobody needs.

Send me your specific question. I’ll answer the first one before anything is signed. After that, you’ll know whether my answers are helpful to you.

Just get started

You don’t have to decide on a package right away. Let me know what you’re working on right now—a specific question, a project, or something you’re unsure about. I’ll let you know if the office hours are the right setting for this, and if not, what would be a better fit.

Ten minutes on the phone is usually enough to sort that out. And if you want to get started right away, you can: You can start at any time, even in the middle of the month.
